Delhi Police Nab Four Teenagers and Two Minors for Robbery to Finance Manali Vacation

NEW DELHI: Four teenagers have been arrested and two minors have been detained by the Delhi Police for allegedly robbing a grocery shop owner at gunpoint in the Sultan Puri area to finance a trip to Manali. The accused, identified as Vikas (18), Harsh (18), Sourav alias Hagdipo (18), and Himesh (19), all residents of Mangolpuri, along with two minors, were apprehended in multiple raids conducted in Mangolpuri and Sultan Puri.

The group had planned the robbery to fund a vacation to Manali with their friends. The incident occurred when seven to eight unidentified boys entered a grocery shop, looted cash and documents at gunpoint, and threatened the owner with a knife. A case was registered at Sultan Puri Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.

The police team tracked the suspects’ locations in T-Block, Mangolpuri, and Sultanpuri. Five of the accused, including one minor, were caught in a raid at Mangolpuri, while another minor was apprehended in Sultanpuri. Two knives used in the crime and part of the stolen cash were recovered from them. During interrogation, the accused confessed to planning the robbery to raise funds for their trip.

Further investigation is ongoing to locate other suspects, recover the remaining stolen property, and identify any additional connections. The arrests also helped solve another case registered at Kanjhawala Police Station. Vikas, one of the accused, had previously been involved in a case of attempted murder, according to police statements.
