Delhi Police Capture Four Notorious Shooters Linked to Prince Teotia Gang

Date:

NEW DELHI: In a significant development, the Delhi Police have successfully apprehended four notorious shooters associated with the Prince Teotia Gang in the Madangir area of South Delhi, as announced by officials on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ankit Chauhan revealed that law enforcement received crucial intelligence regarding the gang members’ movements along the BRT road near the DDA flats. Acting swiftly on this information, a dedicated police team was dispatched to the area to intercept the suspects.

Upon arriving at the scene around 10 PM, the team strategically established a trap. They soon observed a vehicle exhibiting suspicious behavior. After assessing the situation, the officers promptly intercepted the car and arrested all four gang members.

The suspects were identified as Rakesh, Hunny, Rishu, and Dilshad, each with a history of serious criminal activities, including attempted murder, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act, according to DCP Chauhan.

During rigorous interrogation, both Rakesh and Hunny admitted to their roles as shooters and associates of the Prince Teotia Gang. Rakesh disclosed that he had been in judicial custody since 2019 and was only granted bail earlier this year. Following his release, he reconnected with his three accomplices, motivated by a desire for revenge against a rival gang member who had assaulted him while incarcerated. This vendetta led them to plot against their adversaries, who reside in Ambedkar Nagar and Malviya Nagar.

Throughout the investigation, police seized a cache of weapons, including three pistols, six live cartridges, and a country-made firearm, along with two additional live cartridges and the vehicle used by the suspects, as stated by DCP Chauhan.
