NEW DELHI: Today in Delhi, a significant police presence can be observed as the Muslim community protests against the Waqf Bill in various parts of the country. Despite the tensions, Friday prayers were successfully held at Jama Masjid in Delhi. The entire city is currently under tight security, with police officers stationed at every corner.
Our correspondent on the ground at Jama Masjid witnessed the heightened security measures put in place for the prayers. As worshippers gathered inside, police officers closely monitored the area. Drone cameras were utilized to surveil the surroundings, while officers manually checked every person entering or near the mosque. Additionally, paramilitary forces were stationed outside the gates.



Gate number one of Jama Masjid was heavily guarded, with officers conducting thorough searches before allowing entry. These security measures were implemented in response to the passing of the Waqf Amendment Bill, with the aim of preventing any potential disturbances or misinformation.
