NEW DELHI: A tragic incident unfolded in the Swaroop Nagar area of outer north Delhi, where a seven-year-old girl was discovered lifeless with her throat slit at her home. The discovery was made by a patrolling team on Saturday evening, who noticed a gathering of people outside the residence. Upon investigation, a head constable found the young girl unconscious in a pool of blood inside the house. The authorities were immediately notified, and additional teams were dispatched to the scene to launch a thorough investigation.

CCTV footage revealed that the girl’s father, Prem Singh (32), and his associate Ranjit were seen leaving the vicinity around the time of the incident. Efforts are underway to apprehend them, as Singh, a daily wage laborer from Patna, Bihar, and his wife Muskan (32), who works at a factory in Delhi’s Libaspur, are now under scrutiny. The couple also has another daughter, aged nine, according to a senior officer.

Forensic and crime teams meticulously examined the crime scene, and the child’s body was transported to BJRM Hospital in Jahangirpuri for a post-mortem examination, as the investigation continues to unfold.
