Delhi | BJP Leader Accuses AAP of Disrupting Assembly to Evade CAG Report Discussion

Date:

NEW DELHI: BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs of deliberately disrupting assembly proceedings to evade a discussion on Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports that expose alleged financial irregularities during their tenure in power.

Sirsa criticized the AAP MLAs for consistently causing disturbances whenever there is a discussion on CAG reports, leading to their removal from the assembly. However, he made it clear that their actions will not shield them from the scrutiny of the CAG reports.

Pointing out alleged scams highlighted in the reports, Sirsa mentioned that revelations about the Sheesh Mahal and the Delhi Jal Board scam will soon be made public. He also noted that there are twelve more reports yet to be released, which will uncover corruption from the past decade.

Taking a dig at the previous Kejriwal government, Sirsa criticized the construction of an extravagant office at the Chief Minister’s residence, claiming it was more opulent than the Sheesh Mahal. He announced that a report on this matter will also be released soon.

Sirsa further alleged that during their term, the AAP government prioritized political advertisements over public welfare, citing the example of promising Rs 1,000 per month to women but spending millions on advertisements instead. He asserted that Kejriwal cannot evade accountability for long.
