Delhi | Akbar Road Signboard Defaced, Slogans Raised

Date:

NEW DELHI: Unknown miscreants in Delhi have once again attempted to disrupt the peace by defacing a signboard on Akbar Road. The mischievous individuals, wearing sashes on their shoulders, vandalized the signboard by smearing black paint over the white-colored letters spelling out “Akbar Road.” This incident occurred late at night where the culprits also raised slogans while holding posters of Maharana Pratap.

This is not an isolated event, as similar incidents have occurred in Delhi in the past. Just last month, after watching the film “Chhava,” some troublemakers defaced signboards on Akbar Road and Humayun Road by smearing black ink and pasting posters of Chhatrapati Shivaji on them.

The individuals responsible for this act are reportedly associated with Hindu organizations and have a history of engaging in such disruptive behavior. Despite their repeated actions of removing, tearing, and defacing posters in various locations across Delhi, no action has been taken against them in this particular case. However, the police have since cleaned the signboard to restore its original state.
