Daughter misses father with tears on Daughter’s Day

A prayer meet was held in remembrance of Fazil Khan, an army man who fought two consecutive wars of the 60s with Param Veer Chakra recipient Veer Abdul Hameed.
Many eyes present at the prayer meet were moistened remembering the braveheart who died on September 7,2021 after a prolonged illness.

“I know I can’t live even for a moment without my father who was my strength and lifeline but I have to fulfill his dream, I am sure he is around to bless me as souls never die” the inconsolable social activist Shabnam Khan, daughter of Fazil Khan spoke breaking down and tendered thanks to those who gathered to pay respects. Ms Khan not only loved and adored her father but served and stood by him whenever the ailment caught him. He too regarded Shabnam as his son who actually ran taking him from pillar to post to get him treated in the last years of his journey.

Veteran journalist and INS editor Pradeep Mahajan, social activist and congress leader Amit Mishra, Rakesh Rawat, Rajbir Singh and others paid a floral tribute to the departed soul.
