Braving the incessant rains in torrents, pressmen and their families turned up to be part of the mega camp organised by Lok Kalyan Samiti at Delhi’s Sucheta Kriplani Bhawan Rouse Avenue Road. During lockdowns triggered by the pandemic COVID19, mediapersons as frontline warriors worked day in day out against all the odds, keeping in view these warriors, Lok Kalyan Samiti in association with IMWA (Indian Media Welfare Association) organised a day-long camp that had registered a number of scribes, photojournalists and video journalists from varied media houses.
“The journalists having had to work round-the-clock during the deadly pandemic, they strained their eyes working online, We do acknowledge the valuable contribution of our frontline warriors. I strongly feel it our primary duty” Harita Gupta, General Secretary of the Samiti spoke.
Rajiv Nishana, President IMWA expressed his gratitude towards the Samiti for organising the camp.
“I am grateful to the eminent team of doctors and the Samiti for accepting my proposal on behalf of the journalist fraternity.”
About 78 journalists and their family members participated in the camp.
