Godowns and packaging factory raided

In its release dated October 19, police identified the arrested men as Naveen Singhal, 51, and Balraj Bansal, 45. The operation covered locations in Ghonda and Nangloi on October 17 and 18. Both were taken into police custody remand as investigators sought to trace the supply chain.

Police said two Ghonda godowns were searched in the presence of brand-protection representatives. At Aman Puri in Nangloi, officers allegedly found an operational electric FFS machine packing spurious powder.

Stickers, packing rolls and other branded packaging seized

The packed ENO recovery was spread across 229 cartons. Police separately listed over three lakh ENO stickers, approximately 100 kg of ENO packing rolls and a large quantity of small boxes and cartons.

The FeviKwik stock comprised 67 cartons containing 1,680 sachets each, according to the release. Officers also recovered packing material for more than two lakh FeviKwik units and packaging bearing other brands, including MDH Masala. Recovery of that packaging does not establish a seizure of finished MDH food products.

Police described the raw material as citric acid, with six 25-kg bags and additional stock taking the approximate total to 200 kg. Heat-sealing guns were also listed among the recovered equipment.

Supply chain under investigation

The ARSC team was led by Inspector Robin Tyagi under ACP Vivekanand Pathak’s supervision. A case was registered at Crime Branch police station under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Copyright Act.

Police alleged the network used established brands’ trademarks to sell counterfeit goods, posing health risks to consumers and causing losses to brand owners. Investigators are seeking the source of raw material, downstream receivers and distributors, and other alleged associates, the release signed by DCP Crime Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said.
