Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Attack: Knife Recovered, Accused Sent to 14-Day Judicial Custody

Date:

New Delhi: Fresh revelations have emerged in the case of the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Officials confirmed that the main accused, Rajesh Khilsi, had attempted to stab the CM with a knife, but his plan failed due to the tight security cover.

Police have recovered the knife thrown away by the accused in the Civil Lines area, adding crucial evidence to the ongoing probe.

Meanwhile, both accused in the case have been sent to 14-day judicial custody. Along with Rajesh Khilsi, investigators arrested Mohammad Tahseen, who allegedly helped the attacker. Tahseen was apprehended from Rajkot, Gujarat, and brought to Delhi for interrogation.

Authorities said the investigation is focusing on whether the accused acted alone or as part of a larger conspiracy. Security agencies are also reviewing the protective measures at the CM’s residence following the breach.
