NEW DELHI: Tragic news struck the heart of Delhi as a massive fire ravaged through the Dwarka Mod area, reducing 30 huts and two factories to mere ashes. The flames devoured everything in their path, leaving behind a trail of destruction in the early hours of Tuesday (March 18, 2025). Despite the ferocity of the blaze, miraculously, there were no casualties reported.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) sprang into action upon receiving the distress call at 2:07 am, dispatching 11 fire engines to combat the inferno. The fire had already engulfed an area spanning over 1,200 square yards, consuming 30 huts, two makeshift ice cream factories, and several shops selling car accessories and groceries.
With unwavering determination, the firefighters battled the flames, finally gaining control at 3:50 am. The valiant efforts of the DFS officials prevented any loss of life in the face of such devastation. The resilience and swift action of the firefighters saved the day, bringing hope amidst the ashes of tragedy.
