NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the traditional ceremony of “Kanya Pujan” at a government school during the festive occasion of Navratri. She engaged with the young girls, discussing important topics such as the quality of education, cleanliness, access to clean water, and the need for better school infrastructure.
Gupta performed the Kanya Pujan ritual at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Shalimar Bagh, where she not only served the girls with food but also presented them with gifts. She emphasized the significance of seeking blessings from young girls on the auspicious day of Ashtami, highlighting her personal tradition of performing this ceremony for the past 20 years.

During her interaction with the students, the Chief Minister shared her own journey as an alumna of a government school who has now risen to the position of Chief Minister of Delhi.
