New Delhi: The Delhi Cabinet has approved the GO-DELHI Foundation with an initial allocation of Rs 50 crore to support the capital’s startup ecosystem, including more than 21,000 startups, the Chief Minister’s Office said.
The foundation is intended to connect young entrepreneurs with mentorship, incubation, investors and facilities that can help turn ideas into market-ready products. The government said the initiative would also support students, researchers and micro, small and medium enterprises.

GO-DELHI Foundation to connect innovators and industry
The initiative is aimed at bringing Delhi’s DPIIT-recognised startup ecosystem onto a common platform, alongside young innovators, researchers and MSMEs. Its proposed support includes product engineering, prototyping, laboratories and testing facilities.
Mentorship, incubation and connections with investors are intended to help entrepreneurs develop their concepts into products that are ready for the market, according to the government’s outline.
Pilot projects for government challenges
Startups would also be encouraged to develop solutions to problems faced by government departments, with pilot projects to test new technologies in practical settings.
The government described the foundation as a way to strengthen emerging enterprises and create opportunities for growth and employment. These are the stated objectives of the initiative, rather than announced job commitments or a fixed payment to each startup.
Details of eligibility, applications and rollout dates were not set out in the announcement.
