New Delhi: Eligible Delhi households installing 3 kW rooftop solar systems can receive up to ₹1.56 lakh in combined government subsidies, BSES Delhi said while highlighting support available under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and the Delhi Government’s revised Solar Policy.
BSES also publicised a zero-upfront-cost option for eligible households. Both the subsidy and the financing benefit were described as subject to eligibility, rather than benefits automatically available to every consumer.

Lower bills depend on eligibility and the installation
The electricity distributor said rooftop solar could reduce household electricity bills, including the possibility of a zero bill. It presented this as a potential benefit, not a guaranteed outcome for every installation.
BSES directed interested consumers to solar.delhi.gov.in for applications and provided separate assistance numbers for its two distribution companies.
Where consumers can seek assistance
BRPL consumers can call 19123 and select Option 3. BYPL consumers can call 19122 and select Option 3.
