New Delhi: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth more than ₹1,941 crore in Delhi, including the long-pending Barapullah Elevated Road Phase-3, according to a post shared by Rekha Gupta.
Gupta said Barapullah Phase-3 had been opened for public use, enabling a signal-free journey between Mayur Vihar Phase-1 and AIIMS. The corridor is expected to reduce congestion, save travel time and make daily journeys easier for lakhs of commuters.
She also highlighted the Mukarba Chowk underpass, Modi Mill–Savitri Cinema flyover and Loni underpass as projects aimed at strengthening connectivity across the capital.

Barapullah Phase-3 Brings Long-Pending Link Into Use
The opening of Barapullah Phase-3 is a key component of the development programme outlined in Gupta’s post. She described the project as a long-awaited addition to Delhi’s road network.
The signal-free Mayur Vihar Phase-1–AIIMS journey is intended to make commuting more convenient and reduce delays for residents travelling along the route.
Underpass and Flyover Projects Target Traffic Bottlenecks
Gupta said the Mukarba Chowk underpass, Modi Mill–Savitri Cinema flyover and Loni underpass would further improve road connectivity.
She identified shorter journeys, reduced congestion and greater convenience for residents as the objectives of the infrastructure works, linking them to the government’s “Developed Delhi” goal.
Ministers and MLAs Attend Programme
Those present included Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra and cabinet members Pravesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravindra Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
MLAs Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Ravinder Singh Negi also attended, along with other guests.
In her post, Gupta credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and thanked him and Shah on behalf of Delhi residents for the development projects.
