Bomb Scare Triggers Panic at Bengaluru Airport; IndiGo Flight to Delhi Evacuated, Threat Turns Hoax

Date:

Bengaluru: Panic gripped Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday evening after a bomb threat was reported on an IndiGo flight bound for Delhi, prompting immediate evacuation of passengers.

The incident occurred around 7:00 pm when the aircraft was preparing for departure. A passenger reportedly alerted the cabin crew after discovering a tissue paper in the aircraft’s washroom carrying a message claiming that an explosive device was onboard.

Following standard emergency protocols, the pilot immediately informed Air Traffic Control (ATC), and all passengers were safely deboarded. Security agencies launched a thorough inspection of the aircraft.

After an intensive search operation, authorities confirmed that the threat was a hoax, as no explosives or suspicious materials were found.

The flight later resumed its journey and departed for Delhi without further incident. Meanwhile, security agencies have initiated an investigation to identify the person responsible for the threat note.
