New Delhi: In a significant operation against the illegal nicotine trade, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Crime Branch, Delhi Police, has seized 2,073 banned e-cigarettes valued at over ₹27 lakh and arrested three individuals. This coordinated effort spanned across Delhi and Haryana.
The operation was led by Inspector Mahipal Singh, under the supervision of ACP Satendra Mohan and the overall monitoring of DCP Rahool Alwal. It dealt a substantial blow to an organized network involved in the distribution of prohibited vaping products.
Officials indicated that the seized consignment was part of a larger supply chain targeting youth through illegal channels. This crackdown is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat the rising issue of e-cigarette usage, which remains banned in India under central legislation.

The arrested individuals are believed to be key players in the distribution network, and further investigations are underway to trace suppliers, stockists, and additional distribution routes across states.
Police stated that this timely action has prevented a significant quantity of banned nicotine products from entering the market, particularly among young consumers. The Delhi Police reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement against the illegal sale and circulation of e-cigarettes, warning that such operations will continue to dismantle organized networks involved in this prohibited trade.
