Delhi Pitampura Fire: 2 Workers Dead, 5 Injured After Cardboard Scrap Stored Under Tin Sheds Catches Fire

New Delhi: A fire broke out at a vacant plot in Pitampura Village where scrap cardboard was stored under tin sheds, leaving two workers dead and five others injured, police said on Tuesday.

According to officials, the injured workers—reportedly from Nalanda district in Bihar—were immediately shifted to BJRM Hospital for treatment. The deceased have been identified as Biresh and Satish.

Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control, but two tin sheds were completely gutted in the incident. Police said teams from the Delhi Police, District Crime Team (DCT) and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have been deployed, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Officials said further details will emerge after forensic inspection and examination of the site.
