World Welcomes New Year 2026 With Celebrations Across Continents

New Delhi: The world ushered in New Year 2026 with grand celebrations, dazzling fireworks, and joyful gatherings across continents. From India to Europe and Oceania, streets, clubs, churches, and public squares came alive as people bid farewell to 2025 and welcomed the new year with hope and enthusiasm.

In India, major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Manali witnessed massive crowds as the clock struck midnight. While some thronged clubs and party hotspots, others celebrated on the streets, dancing to music, singing, and exchanging wishes for a prosperous year ahead. Tourist destinations such as Goa and Manali saw heavy footfall, with revellers celebrating well into the night.

Globally, New Zealand’s Auckland became the first major city to welcome 2026, marking the occasion with spectacular fireworks and public celebrations. Stunning visuals from Auckland set the tone for New Year festivities around the world.

Soon after, vibrant scenes emerged from Australia, Thailand, Dubai, Russia, and several European nations. While some regions celebrated amid snowfall, others marked the occasion with prayers in churches and religious gatherings, reflecting diverse cultural traditions.

From dazzling firework displays to peaceful prayers and energetic parties, New Year 2026 began on a festive note worldwide, carrying hopes of happiness, peace, and prosperity for the year ahead.
