New Delhi: In a bizarre and unprecedented case of liquor smuggling, Delhi Police has busted a gang that was using camels to transport illegal liquor from Haryana to the national capital. The South District Police arrested five smugglers and seized three camels along with 42 cartons of illicit liquor being brought from Faridabad to Neb Sarai.

According to police officials, the gang had devised this unique method to avoid suspicion. The smugglers would load cartons of liquor onto camels, believing that the police and locals would not suspect them. However, acting on a tip-off, the South District Police laid a trap late at night and intercepted the gang on the Faridabad–Neb Sarai route.
