Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Forms Special Committees for Ramleela and Durga Puja Celebrations; Cabinet Ministers to Chair Panels

New Delhi: Ahead of the Ramleela and Durga Puja festivities, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the formation of special committees to ensure that the capital’s religious and cultural celebrations remain devotional, safe, and joyous. Each committee will be chaired by a Cabinet Minister of the Delhi Government, with members including legislators and senior officials.

For the Ramleela Committee, Cabinet Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh has been appointed as Chairman. Members include MLAs Ashok Goyal, Anil Kumar Sharma, Shyam Sharma, Sanjay Goyal, and Sandeep Sahrawat. Divisional Commissioner Neeraj Semwal will serve as Member Secretary.

Similarly, the Durga Puja Committee will be headed by Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Its members are MLAs Neeraj Basoya, Ravindra Negi, Chandan Chaudhary, and Karnail Singh, with Divisional Commissioner Neeraj Semwal again serving as Member Secretary.

CM Rekha Gupta stated that the government’s focus is to ensure devotion, safety, and joy for every devotee attending these celebrations. “These committees will oversee arrangements so that residents and visitors experience both cultural fervor and spiritual satisfaction,” she said.
