Rekha Gupta Meets Amit Shah, Discusses Delhi’s Development Agenda

Date:

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday to discuss key issues related to the development and welfare of the national capital.

Describing the meeting as “cordial, constructive and meaningful,” Gupta said the two leaders engaged in a wide-ranging discussion focused on Delhi’s growth and public welfare initiatives, according to an official statement.

In a post on social media platform X, Gupta wrote, “Today, I paid a courtesy visit to Union Home & Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah ji and had the opportunity to receive his guidance. His vision and leadership in public service, organizational strength, and governance are a source of inspiration for all public representatives.”

She added that the conversation with Shah was “thought-provoking, insightful, and warm,” thanking him for his time and support.

The chief minister informed Shah that Delhi was witnessing the positive impact of a “double engine government,” noting that her administration had fulfilled its first 100-day promises on time, thanks in part to central government support.

Gupta reaffirmed her government’s commitment to the vision of a “Viksit Delhi” (Developed Delhi), emphasizing that cooperation from the Centre has been both “instrumental and inspirational.”

She also congratulated the BJP-led NDA government on completing 11 years in power at the Centre and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that India has made significant strides in global standing, internal security, cooperative reforms, and poverty alleviation.
