Bengaluru | Retired State Police Director General Om Prakash Murdered by Wife

BENGALURU: Om Prakash, a retired Police Director General and a 68-year-old IPS officer from the 1981 batch, was tragically found murdered in his home in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.

Prakash had served as the state’s 38th DG and IGP. His body has been taken to St. John’s Hospital for a post-mortem examination, with senior police officials swiftly responding to the scene.

According to sources, Prakash’s wife, Pallavi, contacted the local police to report the murder. Pallavi and her daughter opened the door for the officers upon their arrival.

The exact reason for the murder is still under investigation by the authorities.
