Heroic CRPF Officer’s CPR Saves Life of Unconscious Man on Delhi Metro

Date:

NEW DELHI: A female Sub Inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) heroically saved the life of a passenger in the Delhi Metro by performing Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on an unconscious man in a crowded coach. This act of bravery took place on Tuesday evening between Kirti Nagar and Moti Nagar stations on the Metro rail network.

The 27-year-old Sub-Inspector Anjali noticed a 40-year-old man collapse unconscious behind her in the coach. CRPF officials explained that the man likely suffered from a heart-related issue and fainted in the crowded train. Without hesitation, Anjali immediately administered CPR to the man, who soon regained consciousness. The passenger was then escorted to the Moti Nagar Metro station for further assistance.

Anjali is a member of the 88th Mahila Battalion of the CRPF, stationed at Jantar Mantar in Central Delhi for security duties. Despite her quick and life-saving actions, Anjali expressed disappointment that no other passengers came forward to help the affected individual.

CRPF spokesperson Deputy Inspector General M. Dinakaran commended Anjali for her heroic actions, and the Director-General has expressed appreciation for her bravery and will reward her accordingly. CPR is an essential emergency life-saving procedure that security personnel are trained to perform during their training to handle critical situations.
